7 Product Launch Video Script Templates You Can Use Today
Seven adaptable product launch video scripts for Product Hunt, SaaS homepages, feature releases, social teasers, app stores, and investor updates.
A useful launch script is a decision framework, not a collection of dramatic adjectives. These seven structures help you move from audience problem to product proof and a clear next step.
1. The 30-second Product Hunt script
Hook: “You should not need [old painful process] just to [desired outcome].” Problem: name the delay or compromise. Reveal: “Meet [product], the [category] built for [audience].” Proof: show three fast product moments. Payoff: restate the outcome in the user’s language. CTA: “Try [product] today on Product Hunt.”
Keep the narration spare enough that the interface has time to register. One proof point per scene is stronger than a voiceover that races through the entire roadmap.
2–4. Homepage, feature release, and social teaser
Homepage: open with the visitor’s desired result, demonstrate the shortest path to it, remove the main objection, then invite the next step. Feature release: begin with what is newly possible, show the old friction briefly, demonstrate the feature in context, and tell existing users where to find it.
Social teaser: ask a recognizable question, show a visual surprise within the first seconds, name the product once, and end before the idea becomes repetitive. The social cut should create curiosity while still delivering a complete thought.
- Homepage CTA: “See how it works” or the exact product action.
- Feature CTA: “Open your workspace and try [feature].”
- Social CTA: “Watch the full launch” or “Build your first [outcome].”
5–7. App store, founder story, and investor update
App store preview: design for silent viewing, lead with the core job, and use short text tied directly to the screen. Founder story: start with the repeated problem that made the product necessary, then move quickly from origin to user outcome. Investor update: frame the change, evidence, product response, and next milestone without turning the video into a pitch deck recap.
Each format needs a different emphasis, but the same rule applies: every line must either clarify the problem, demonstrate proof, or move the viewer toward action.
Turn a script into an editable video
Paste the chosen structure into a Motify prompt and replace every bracket with specific product truth. Add the audience, brand direction, desired runtime, proof assets, and aspect ratio. If the team is still debating the narrative, generate a nine-scene storyboard first and approve the flow before producing the animation.
Read the final script aloud. Remove any claim the visuals do not support, any sentence that repeats the screen, and any CTA that asks for two actions at once.
